The Inner Science

Teachings

Three streams from one source — the yoga of breath, the yoga of pure awareness, and the yoga of sacred sound. All lead to the same dissolution.

The teachings of Arya Yoga Sangha are not a curriculum. They are a living encounter with the nature of what you are. What is offered here is a map — but the territory can only be entered through direct practice under the guidance of a living teacher.

The First Path

The Yoga of Breath

In the lineage of Santosh Ma — Esoteric School of Breathing

The breath is the most intimate fact of existence. It is always here, always now, always moving between the seen and the unseen. The esoteric science of the breath — as transmitted through this lineage — does not treat pranayama as a technique for health or relaxation. It treats the breath as the primary vehicle of consciousness itself.

In this teaching, the breath is understood to be the bridge between the gross body and the subtle body, between the personal self and the vast impersonal awareness that underlies all experience. To master the breath is not to control it — it is to surrender so completely to its intelligence that the one who was trying to breathe disappears.

Esoteric Pranayama

The classical pranayama practices — kumbhaka, nadi shodhana, bhastrika — are taught not as breathing exercises but as initiatory practices that progressively dissolve the boundaries of the personal self.

The Pranic Body

Students learn to perceive and work with the subtle body — the pranamaya kosha — as a living field of intelligence. The five pranas, the nadis, and the chakras are not metaphors but experiential realities to be directly encountered.

The Inner Fire

Advanced practice works with tummo — the inner heat — and the awakening of kundalini shakti. This is not pursued as a goal but arises naturally as the breath deepens and the subtle body opens.

The breath is not something you do. It is something that is done through you — if you are willing to get out of the way.

The Second Path

Integral Yoga

The complete integration of body, breath, mind, and the ground of pure being

Integral Yoga does not fragment the human being into parts to be worked on separately. It holds the whole — body, energy, emotion, intellect, and the deepest ground of awareness — as a single living field, and works with all of it simultaneously.  All I must converge into a singularity to be aware of the authentic self. Nothing is excluded. Nothing is transcended by being abandoned.

The integral approach recognises that genuine transformation must penetrate every layer of the human being. Asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, self-inquiry, devotion, and service are not separate practices but facets of a single jewel — each one illuminating the others, all of them pointing toward the same undivided reality.

The Whole Human Being

Integral Yoga works simultaneously with the physical body, the pranic body, the emotional body, the intellect, and the witness awareness — recognising that lasting transformation cannot occur in one layer while the others remain untouched.

Action as Sadhana

In the integral vision, every act of daily life becomes a field of practice. Work, relationship, creativity, and service are not obstacles to the path — they are the path, when met with full presence and the spirit of offering.

The Descent of Consciousness

The goal is not escape from the world into formless awareness, but the descent of higher consciousness into every cell of the body and every dimension of ordinary life — the divinisation of matter itself.

You do not come to this path to become more spiritual. You come to discover that what you already are is beyond all spiritual achievement.

The Third Path

Mantra Yoga

The science of sacred sound — vibration as the direct vehicle of awakening

Mantra is not prayer. It is not affirmation. It is the deliberate use of primordial sound to dissolve the structures of the conditioned mind and reveal the silence from which all sound arises. In this lineage, mantra is transmitted — not merely taught — and the transmission is what makes it alive.

Every mantra carries within it the consciousness of the lineage that has used it. When a mantra is received through initiation and practised with sincerity, it becomes a living presence — a thread of sound that gradually unravels the knot of the separate self. The practitioner does not use the mantra; over time, the mantra uses the practitioner.

Bija Mantras

The seed syllables — Om, Hrim, Klim, Aim and others — are not words but pure vibrational keys. Each bija carries the compressed essence of a particular quality of consciousness and works directly on the subtle body when properly received and practised.

Japa and Ajapa Japa

Japa — the repetition of mantra — is the foundational practice. Its culmination is ajapa japa: the mantra that repeats itself without effort, synchronised with the breath, running as an unbroken current beneath all activity and even in sleep.

Nada and the Inner Sound

Advanced mantra practice opens the practitioner to nada — the unstruck sound, the primordial vibration that underlies all manifest existence. This is not a metaphor but a direct perceptual reality encountered in deep states of absorption.

The mantra is a rope thrown into the darkness. Hold it. Do not ask where it leads. It leads to the source of all sound — which is silence.

How the Teaching is Given

Sri Guru Rohit Arya does not teach through lectures or courses. The teaching is given individually — through direct encounter, through practice, through the transmission that passes between teacher and student when both are fully present. Students are received when they are ready, not when they are curious.

Individual Guidance

Each student is met at their own threshold. There is no standardized curriculum — the teaching is tailored to the precise needs and readiness of the individual.

Direct Transmission

The most essential teaching cannot be conveyed through words. It passes directly from the awakened state of the teacher into the receptive awareness of the student — this is the meaning of lineage.

Long-Term Relationship

This is not a workshop or a retreat. It is a relationship that unfolds over years — a gradual deepening that requires commitment, sincerity, and the willingness to be fundamentally changed.

The Invitation

Are You Ready?

The path is open to those who are genuinely prepared — not those seeking experience, but those willing to be transformed. If something in you recognizes what is described here, Sri Guru Rohit Arya invites your inquiry.
